:confused:I am trying to locate the personal address book file that is used by Outlook, but can't seem to locate it. I know it is a separate file from the "contacts" that Outlook shows. I need to do a clean install, but have three profiles on this computer with separate address books. I can't afford to lose them. Anyone have suggestions? I've already tried searching the computer for *.pab and have had no luck. Does Vista store them differently?
Thanks,

Hi,
When my firewall is activated, the Vista startup time is about 6 minutes, against less than one minute when it is desactivated.
Can somebody explain the problem and perhaps help solving it?
Thanks

Hello Again
I am running a Vista 32 system I recently built.
After building, I ran Windows update. (Vista disk was old).
I was able to install updates all the way to the latest Service Pack.
However, ever since then I cannot download any updates. The system just forever does a search for updates.
Another odd thing is that whenever I shutdown, startup, reboot it seems to want to finish installing previous updates. I suspect some updates did not install correctly.
Any advise?

I love using Windows Media Player 11 for WIndows Vista but I don't remember it being delayed when opening at start up (selecting a song in a desktop folder and start clicking it then the player begins to open)

Does this happen to you, Windows Vista Media Player user?

I have 2 Windows Vista with SP2 and Windows Media Player 11 and both of them always delay at startup. I don't mind about the delay but it becomes longer and longer (for about 20 seconds or so)

Thank you for your time.

Chris

PS: I don't do heavy tasking so my RAM is at always 50-60% and my processors are normal (not at maximum).

It's only the Media Player 11 that's got the delay. No other player is being delayed.

I know i have all the latest drivers Ive been checking regularly, although i still have some doubts about the USB driver.

i also thought it might be malware, but i have:
Windows defender
AVG free
and SpywareBlaster for extra protection
all fully updated

I tried disabling the start up components in MSConfig (no result)

I realy dont know what to try next.
