Pocomail 4.8 uninstall disaster

I don't care for Pocomail 4.8. I let the trial run out and then tried un-installing. When I run the uninstall program, it gets caught in some loop and then starts putting an endless amount of pop up windows with the error "Access Violation at address 009827FA in module poco.exe" along with some other string of numbers.

The only way to stop this is to power off my computer. I'm running Win XP SP3. Any idea how to remove this program?

Well, I've never encountered that, and I regret that this caused you this inconvenience. The best way that I know of to fully remove an application is via a freeware utility at http://www.revouninstaller.com/ I've used it on many applications and it is rather thorough on cleaning harddrive and registry. I do regret your poor experience with Pocomail.

Thanks, I tried revo uninstaller and the exact same thing happened. When I opened Pocomail, it gave me an option to purchase it or get it free by purchasing something from another site. I cancelled out of that and tried revo but when the uninstall started, the pop ups just started appearing. They were constantly popping up so fast I couldn't close them in time so I had to shut down. Very strange, never saw anything like it.

I suppose it's not hurting anything by leaving it on there, I just thought the uninstall behavior was a little bizarre.

I have not seen this reported yet, though I'll have it investigated.

You can remove Pocomail manually, just delete the program installation folder, and the data folders if you wish to get rid of the data as well. Then run Revo uninstaller.
