Well, I might have just wasted my money. After buying the upgrade, I read that PocoMail doesn't directly support Bulk Mail or the "Blind Send" options. It is said that a "work-a-round" can be done, but nothing abouthow to do this. Anyone have a suggestion? I currently use Courier to send a "bulk mail" message for my bands up-coming gigs. I don't want everyone on the list to see the other email addresses.
Thanks for the advice.

Yes, I've developed tools for both. The easy one is blind send.... Pocomail has a split mail option, initially designed to restrict outgoing email to batches. The default is 50 emails max per group. However, just change the split option from 50 to1 and you're set for blind send. That's a one-time setting so you don't need to revisit that. Then in compose window, click the toolbar for message>split and send your message. This puts all email into the OUT folder, one for each recipient. Then, just click ctrl+Y (send queued mail) and the individual emails are all sent. Works great. Just remember to reenter compose mode and click the message>split OFF. That isn't critical, since a prompt menu comes up when you're in split mode to remind you of the setting.
Bulk send is a bit more involved. I'm still having my morning coffee, so let me find my notes and I'll post that shortly....

Okay, here is the process for bulk send. It may look complex, but once in place it's very straightforward:
Procedure to do 'BULK SEND' in Pocomail, similar to Courier's bulk send:
This procedure uses PocoScripting, a powerful feature of PocoMail.
FIRST, go to the pocomail.com website and locate the Extras section and select scripts. Browse for the one named
"send_to_all_address_book2.poc" You will need to input your registration key to download it.
SECOND, you need to place the prewritten script I mentioned into the scripts folder...normally that is
c:\documentsandsettings\yourname\applicationdata\pocomail\scripts
THIRD, Courier's bulk send used a TXT file with one email per line. rename that file's suffix from txt to ini
FOURTH, using a text editor such as Notepad, insert two commas at beginning of each line and a comma at end of each line. For example:
,,johndow@aol.com,
,,janedow@aol.com,
FIFTH, copy the file into the ADDRESS folder in c:\documentsandsettings\yourname\applicationdata\pocomail\addresses
(NOTE: What you have just done is create a PocoMail-compliant addressbook.)
SIXTH, in PocoMail, under tools>options>contacts, click the ADD button and the new addressbook will appear.
(NOTE: All of the above are a one-time set of tasks.)
From there, use the Tools>Scripts (or press F9) to setup the bulkmail script with addrbook to use, subject, fromaddress to use, and type message (uses text editor for message, not Pocomail), save message. (DO NOT edit the script. Use the SETUP tag. No programming is needed.)
Then, just click the Tools>Anyscriptrunonselected.... click the script name and it creates individual messages in OUT folder, queued for mailing. Then click Ctrl+Y and out they go. (this option is greyed-out if you're in Contacts screen.)
In future, just edit the address book normally. The script points to a text file. If nothing changes except the message content, just edit that file and rerun the script. It may sound complex, but it's really easy when you do it. It took me a couple of practices to get it right.
