Courier hangs on mailbox conversion from Calypso

I finally found a courier install that worked. Now the problem is that it hangs up my computer when trying to convert the email boxes over from calypso when they are opened. I am doing the testing on my computer for a friend before she tries with her 1600 emails, so my computer has only 1 email, yet it still hangs and my processor runs full speed ahead. I end up canceling out of it.

Any thoughts?

Hmm, maybe try the "Mailbox" menu, "save to archive" in Calypso (assuming it's named the same way), and from Courier, "Mailbox", "import messages", "Calypso archive". It would be a good idea to first make a copy of the box file (with Calypso closed) just in case things don't go perfectly.

I save to archive in calypso, then try to open in courier, and it doesn't seem to recognize any of the files in my calypso folder as archive files. - it shows the folder as empty when it I browse to it - all the .box files and the .box.bak file is located there (when I click "all files") but courier seems to want a text file??

edit - nevermind - I've figured it out - it was saving my archive file to desktop and I wasn't paying attention

All is well that ends well. Hopefully your Calypso and Courier issues are solved now.
