Clicking on links causes crash

I've been using Courier for several years now and love it. I recently installled it onto a new computer and everything had been going well for a week or two and now all of a sudden everytime I try to click on a link in an email the program crashes (I get the error that says, "Courier Email Program has encountered a problem and needs to close."). I've tried using the database repair tool and have uninstalled and re-installed the program. I also opened an old mailbox file from the old computer and tried clicking on a link in an email. The same thing happens. I've tried clicking on a link from another program (Contacts in MS Outlook) and it works fine.

Anyone have any ideas what the problem is? Thanks for any suggestions!

The file probably has a very long name. Save the file and shorten up the name, problem will most likley be fixed.

There's a known bug in Courier that causes it to crash if the HTML link is badly crafted. My guess is that this problem is only associated with particular e-mails coming from a common source.

Although this Courier bug should be fixed, you should also get the person e-mailing you the badly crafted HTML links to fix his HTML as well.
