Question Crashing on install

I've used Calypso for years and just recently discovered that Courier existed. I downloaded it off of Rose City's site and when I launch the installer, it gets started but then crashes on me. Has anyone experienced this?

Anytime I happen to have problems on my system(very rare I should add) it's the app itself but in this case it appears to be the installer. Any ideas?

BTW, I'm running Windows XPSP2 completely patched up. AMD 3800+, 2GB, and plenty of hd space.

Exclamation Did you disable all your Anti-Virus and/or spyware blockers?

I think that I had a similar problem with a install at one time.

It is always good measure to turn off your anti-virus and spyware software prior to installing trusted software. They sometimes reek havoc on installs.

You might also re-download the installer. The installer could have gotten corrupted during the download. Rosecity has a mirror download site at Download.com or if that is where you originally got your software it can also available at http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/courier/#download

Corrupted downloads do happen sometimes... Just got to lose a few X's and O's

Good Luck!

Thanks but I tried that as well. I'm going to give it a try at work as soon as I can free up a test system. If you or anyone has any other ideas, I'm all ears.

I think the download copy is corrupt. I tried it on a couple of XP systems and all crashed during the install. However I just downloaded from another site and it works fine. The file size is different too.
