My System

Cannot send or receive email

I've been using Courier since it was released (used Calypso before that). All was working well until last night. I'm running XP Pro, and in an attempt to correct another problem, I clicked Start>Run>sfc /scannow. The program completed, but now I cannot send or receive mail. I'm assuming the two events are related. I double checked my mail settings, and they're correct. I get the following error:

Connecting to: 'mail.comcast.net'
Connect.c[465] MailMgr.dll
Failed to get mail from account: 'rbruechert@mail.comcast.net'
WINSOCK Error: Connection refused. (The requested mail service is not running on the designated server. Verify the server name or contact your System Administrator).
Connection to socket failed.

I searched for mailmgr.dll and found it in the Program Files\Courier Email folder. I ran the Courier install file, and it didn't help. I can delete and reinstall if necessary. I'm hoping there's a less drastic fix.

My System

I wound up deleting and reinstalling Courier. A reboot later and I'm in business. Thanks.
