Filter question

I have one account that is set to "Apply JunkYard filter AFTER filter definition"

The defintion contains a few rules and every rule has "continue filtering" turned on( except for rule 3 and 4, but in this case it would not cause a "match")

Yet, if a rule is matched the message continues to be filtered within the definition, but it is no longer filtered by the JunkYard filter.

What am I missing here?

Below the definition. The mail was sent to webmaster@bigfoot.nl
It was moved to the proper folder, but not filtered anymore by the JunkYard filter. (I know this because the sender is in my address book and the message should therefore have gotten a Color Marker)

The "continue filtering" option should used if you can't get
all the "actions" into one filter. Other than that, filters work
well if they are set to act and then no further actions taken.

If a message does not match a filter, it will automatically go
to the next filter. I have lots of filter (for an account) and a
"switch to YunkYard" at the end for potential "evil doers".

It's hard to tell for sure what is happening, I take it the JunkYard contains the rule that would Color Mark a mesage from someone in your address book?

Something that may help you to troubleshoot this would be to turn on the filter detail option:

Mailbox | Properties | Advanced Settings, check "Record Filter Actions in Details List".

I believe this requires a program restart.

With that setting enabled you'll get more information than you ever wanted about the path of a message through your filters. I don't *think* that the JunkYard would automatically not get run against a message if that message had already triggered a filter when "continue filtering" was selected.

Indeed the Color Marker is put there by the JunkYard filter.
I have "Record Filter Actions in Details List" turned on.

The mail was put in the proper folder but there was no reference to the JunkYard filter.........

I worked around this problem by making just one filter for that specific account and I duplicated part of the JunkYard filter. It works fine now.
