I've seen "slipstream" mentioned in conjunction with installing a windows OS. Can someone tell me what this means?

Slipstreaming is merging a later Service Pack into an existing installation CD at a lower Service Pack level to create an installation CD containing the later Service Pack. Saves a lot of hassle when reinstalling the OS and is required should you wish to run System File Checker on an updated OS - i.e. to run SFC on an XP SP3 installation you require an XP SP3 installation CD.

    Hi again JCinvan,

As well as Arie's articles above you could look at this MSFN article to add additional drivers and applications. BTW this time google is your friend ;)

It's just that it's so much stuff to sort through. Appreciate a little shortcut to the best or tested. Thanks.
